The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football is a major part of the FIFA world cup qualifying process. Teams that are qualified by this association will play in the 2022 tournament in Qatar. Qatar will host the tournament. The teams in this section will compete in the knockout phase to earn their ticket to the big show. In order to qualify for the world cup, they will have to meet certain requirements.
Schedule:
The qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place from Sept. 2 to March 30, and each team will play four home games and one away game against each of the seven teams in their group. The top three teams will qualify for the final tournament, held in Qatar. The fourth-place team will then advance to an intercontinental playoff, where they will face the winner of Australia-Canada series.
The qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held in November 2020, but it has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The schedule is similar to the one for the current tournament, with teams playing two home matches and two away matches per window. The schedule also features triple dates, which make the process more difficult. March 2022 is the month of Finals.
Teams:
The top three teams in each group will qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The fourth team will have to play an inter-federation playoff against Oceania. Matches:
Mexico is an unknown team, and has never won a tournament. In 42 matches, the team has scored 88 goals, averaging 2.1 goals per match. It has been penalized for one home match and two away matches against Costa Rica. The teams will play a double-legged home-and-away series in the knockout stage. The winners will then be awarded the right to play in the final, scheduled for June 2022.
Qualifier:
The top three teams of each group will advance to the next round of qualification. The top two teams from the second round will play against each other in the final. If they are able to qualify, they will automatically be in the World Cup. The USMNT has qualified for its first World Cup since 1986. The United States is the second-placed team in the region. Previously, the country had three Teams.
Playoffs:
A total of 35 teams from the region will compete for a place in the Final Round. The winner of each group will advance to the semifinal round. In the first round, the top three teams of the group will play against each other in the playoff round. The fourth-place team will then play in the Intercontinental Playoff. A finalist from each group will win the tournament. This is a big step for the USMNT.
Qatar will host the tournament. The final round will be contested between the four groups. If all four teams win their group, they will advance to the final round. The top three teams in each group will qualify automatically. The fourth-placed team will play in the play-off against Oceania. The top two teams in the group will have automatic berths. For the first time since 1986, Canada will play in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
